Inquest of  James O'MALLEY at Jollies Pass Hotel, Hanmer,  died at Hopeful Station on 8 January, verdict death by visitation of God.

Inquest held at Hospital of Thomas WILD, died from result of accident in Avonside last Monday

Sudden death of H.PRYKE died suddenly at Mr. Craddocks farm near Leeston, Canterbury
Funeral of Mr.Samuel EDGAR an old and  respected resident of Lyttelton, also oldest Orangeman in the colony. Took place 16 Jan.
