Mrs Louisa Parsons on Friday last at the res. of her son in
law Mr C.E.COOPER,
collector of Customs at Timaru. --- was in her 80th
year widow
of the late Captain John Parsons 1st Harbour Master of
Lyttelton. She arrived in Lyttelton in the ship Minerva in
February 1853 with her family of 4 daughters
all now married and 1 son, to join her husband, who
had come out previously with Mr GODLEY.
mrs Parsons resided at Dampier's bay Lyttelton for several
years in December 1860, Captain Parsons died
---- she leaves 5 children, 36 grandchildren,
and 4 great grandchildren. -- interred at Lyttelton in the same
grave as her husband.

Mrs C.A. Maslin, mother of Mr W.S.Maslin, auctioneer,
one of the oldest residents of Geraldine district, died on Monday
morning at the res. of her
son-in-law Mr T. Sherratt was
70 years of age, arrived in the Maori in 1859 landing
at Lyttelton, with her husband and family ------ the
funeral
took place on Wednesday afternoon.
