Melbourne Ward of Chancery, who recently eloped to this Colony, died
this morning after a brief illness.

Johnson, of the Irwell Hotel, died through being run over by a

The notorious Cyrus Haley had his career if crime and imprisonment
brought to a close yesterday, by being shot dead while attempting to

pulling down a cob chimney at Duvauchelle's some material fell on his
leg, stripping the skin ---- amputation of the leg ---
DONALDSON - Mr R. of
Christchurch, accident on board the Hawea,

clavicle and scapula.

had a leg amputaed a few days ago ---- died at the Immigration
Barracks, Akaroa, on 11 Oct. leaves a widow and 6 children in
very indifferent
circumstances.
